Language of Instruction and Preparatory Education
Alanya University offers programmes taught in Turkish or English. Applicants should check the language of instruction and language proficiency requirements of their chosen programme before applying.
Students enrolled in English-taught programmes must demonstrate the required level of English through the University’s proficiency examination or an examination result accepted under the University’s current regulations. Students who do not meet the proficiency requirements attend the English Preparatory Programme and are placed at an appropriate level following assessment.
Applications for exemption from preparatory education are evaluated by the School of Foreign Languages. Accepted examinations, minimum scores, certificate validity periods, and other exemption conditions are subject to the University’s current requirements. Exemption is granted only after the relevant documents have been reviewed and approved.
International students enrolled in Turkish-taught programmes must meet the applicable Turkish language proficiency requirements. Information on Turkish language courses, assessment, and certification is available through the University’s Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Centre (TÖMER).

Language Support for Exchange Students and Staff
Incoming exchange students and visiting staff should confirm the language of their selected courses or activities with the relevant academic department before their mobility begins.
The International Relations Office provides guidance on orientation and available language learning opportunities. Information on introductory Turkish courses, peer support, and other language activities is provided according to availability.
Students interested in additional foreign language courses should consult the School of Foreign Languages regarding the courses offered, eligibility requirements, and registration procedures for the relevant academic year.
