What are the payment terms?

Payment terms for foreign students are determined annually. Fees are usually paid per term or annually. For detailed information, you can visit our university's page or contact the International Relations Office.

Can you give information about social activities and clubs?

There are many clubs and events at our university where students can engage in social and cultural activities. There are clubs in various fields such as sports, art, and music. In addition, organized events and festivals enrich the social life of students.

Can you give information about internship opportunities and collaborations?

Our university offers internship opportunities to students. Students can gain professional experience through collaborations with different companies and institutions. Additionally, our career center helps our students find jobs and plan their careers.

How many students does your university accept to the Erasmus+ program? For which departments is the Erasmus program available?

Our university accepts students within a certain quota every year, and students from different departments can apply to the Erasmus program.

What are the university's health and social support opportunities?

Our university has a health unit to meet the health needs of students, and psychological support services are also provided to students. We also support students' social lives through social events and clubs.

What are the accommodation options on the university campus?

What are the cultural events and activities in Alanya and its surroundings?

Alanya is a touristic region famous for its historical and natural beauties. Students have the opportunity to participate in beach activities, water sports, historical sites, and festivals.

Can I get detailed information about the university's academic programs?

Our university offers various associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs. To get detailed information about academic programs, you can visit the university's website or contact the promotion unit.

Are there support programs and consultancy services for international students?

Yes, our university generally offers support programs and consultancy services for international students. Support is provided for problems that students may encounter during the education process.

Is the language of instruction Turkish or English and is the student proficient in these languages?

The language of instruction at our university is 100% English for English programs and 100% Turkish for Turkish programs.
For those who do not have English language proficiency, a one-year "English Preparatory Program" is applied. The preparatory class is not included in the normal education period.
Turkish Proficiency: For students enrolled in programs where the language of instruction is Turkish to start their education in the department, they must have a Turkish Proficiency Certificate issued by the official institutions and organizations of the State of the Republic of Turkey and universities or by Alanya University (TÖMER). Students who do not have a certificate are allowed for one year to obtain their Turkish Proficiency Certificate. The student who does not submit the document at the end of this period will be dismissed from the University.
A Turkish Proficiency Certificate is not required from students who have completed their entire high school education at a Turkish high school abroad or a high school in Turkey and graduated.
Those who pass the English Proficiency Exam administered by our university at the beginning of the academic year or those who pass any of the exams mentioned (provided that they are not older than two years) start the first year directly.

Is health insurance required for the student?

Generally, universities help students with health insurance, but additional insurance can also be purchased by the family.

What kind of social and cultural activities does the university in Alanya offer and what will the students' social lives be like?

The university usually organizes various social and cultural activities and offers students a wide social life opportunity. Students will have the opportunity to participate in various events on campus and in the city. Students can benefit from sports and cultural infrastructure at a discount or free of charge within the framework of the agreement between Alanya University and the municipality.

Can we get more detailed information about the programs and academic opportunities offered at the university in Alanya?

The university generally offers various associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs. In addition, students are offered libraries, laboratories, and other academic facilities.

What opportunities does the Summer School offer?

The purpose of the Summer School is:

a) To ensure that university students benefit from educational opportunities during the summer months,
b) To improve the teaching staff in associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs by employing faculty members from outside the University and to ensure that students benefit from the opinions and experiences of different faculty members,
c) To provide time for students enrolled in minor and double major programs to follow these programs,
d) To provide opportunities for unsuccessful students and to increase efficiency by preventing student overcrowding that may occur in departments by offering the courses that students took in the normal period but failed or could not take in the summer months.

Is there an English Preparatory program?

Yes. There is an English Preparatory Program for programs whose medium of instruction is English.

Is there a course before the English Proficiency Exam? Can we get information about the content of this exam?

Yes, there is. You can improve your English level by enrolling in the Preparatory Course organized by Alanya University TÖMER. The program is a preparatory jump course program for all university preparatory students (including new registrations). Throughout the program, exam strategies and grammar and vocabulary studies will be carried out for English 4 skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) courses.
The English Proficiency Exam administered at our university consists of five parts: listening, reading, grammar, writing, and speaking.

Is it compulsory to attend classes in the English Preparatory Program?

There is an 70% attendance requirement in the Preparatory Program.

What other foreign languages can we learn?

You can choose from our elective courses.

Who can apply for the International Student Exchange Program?

Application conditions for the Erasmus+ Program:

The student must be a full-time student at a higher education institution,
The cumulative academic grade point average of undergraduate students must be at least 2.20/4.00,
The cumulative academic grade point average of Master's and PhD students must be at least 2.50/4.00,
Having a sufficient number of ECTS (30) credits for educational mobility

Which countries' universities I can go to with an exchange program?

Our students can attend any institution listed in our bilateral agreements list on our website.

Can I participate in Erasmus Mobility more than once?

A student will be able to benefit from the Erasmus Learning and Internship Mobility Program with a grant of 12 months at each level of his/her education life (associate degree/bachelor's degree, master's degree, and doctorate), for a maximum of 36 months in total.

What hours is the library open?

Our library is open between 08:30-17:30 on weekdays and is open for our students between 08:30-00:00 during final and project periods.

Do you help graduating students find jobs?

Alanya University offers various career services to support graduate students in their employment processes. Graduates can facilitate their job search processes by taking advantage of opportunities such as career counseling, job-finding events, and internship opportunities. For detailed information and assistance, you can contact the university's career services unit.

Is it necessary to apply for a student residence permit after entering Turkey with a visa?

Yes. After international students complete their student registration at Alanya University, they must fill out the 'Residence Permit Application Form' online at https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/ and start the Residence Permit application process. Without waiting for the appointment date given in the system, the Residence Permit Application Form and the necessary documents specified on this form must be delivered to the Alanya University International Relations Unit, not to the Alanya Immigration Management Directorate.
The documents submitted by the students to the International Relations Unit will be forwarded to the Alanya Directorate of Immigration Management at regular intervals. You can contact the International Relations Office for detailed information.
